🧳 Luggage Drop-Off & Porters

As soon as you pull up to the terminal, you’ll find porters ready to assist with your checked luggage.

✔ Luggage tags must be attached before arrival

✔ Tip is customary (usually $2–$3 per bag)

✔ Bags go directly to the ship and will be delivered to your stateroom later in the afternoon.

After dropping off luggage, drivers can loop directly to the parking garage or exit the port area.

The multilevel parking garage is located directly across from Terminal 6, making it one of the most convenient parking setups at Port Canaveral.

  • Pay at the entry kiosk

  • Covered parking with elevators

  • Pedestrian walkway leads straight to the terminal entrance

Oversized vehicles (RV, large vans) will need to park in the surface lot nearby.

  • 💳 Major credit cards only — American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover

  • ❌ Cash is NOT accepted

  • ✨Payment is taken upon arrival as you enter the garage.

🚶‍♂️ Entering the Terminal

Once you walk into Terminal 6, you’ll pass through a large, open check-in hall. Expect:

✳️ Friendly staff directing guests

✳️ Separate lines for Faster to the Fun, Platinum/Diamond and suite guests

✳️ Air-conditioned seating and waiting areas

✳️ Charging stations and restrooms

👮 Security Screening

Before check-in, you’ll go through security scanning similar to airport screening:

  • Carry-ons go through X-ray scanners

  • Walk-through metal detector

  • No liquids over 12 oz unless medically necessary

  • 🐾 K9 units may be present — these trained dogs help ensure safety and keep the boarding process moving smoothly.

Security is usually quick and efficient, especially if you have documents ready and follow carry-on item rules.

🛂 Check-In & Boarding Process

At the check-in station, you’ll present:

  • 📄 Boarding pass

  • 🪪 Government-issued photo ID (passport or birth certificate & ID)

  • 🧒 Minor consent forms (if needed)

Staff will verify your documents, take your security photo, and officially check you in.

🆔 ID Requirements for Boarding

For U.S. citizens on most closed-loop cruises (round trip from the same U.S. port):

  • 🪪 Birth certificate + government-issued photo ID

OR

  • 🪪 A valid U.S. passport book or passport card

(A passport book is recommended in case you need to fly home from a foreign port.)

🚢 Walking Onto the Ship

When it’s your turn to board, you’ll take the escalator or elevator to the second level, walk down the gangway, and step right onto the ship—usually near the atrium. Crew members are there to greet you with big smiles, welcome drinks, and the vacation vibe officially begins!
