If you’ve booked a cruise and later spot a lower fare, don’t worry—you may be able to get that lower rate!
HERE'S HOW IT USUALLY WORKS:
1️⃣ Check Your Cruise Line’s Price Guarantee – Many cruise lines have a “best price guarantee” or “rebooking policy.” This means if the price drops after you book, you may be eligible for a refund of the difference or a credit.
2️⃣ Act Quickly – Policies vary, but most cruise lines only honor price adjustments within a certain time frame after booking (usually 24–72 hours, but some extend longer).
3️⃣ Contact Your Travel Agent or Cruise Line – If you booked through a travel agent, they can often handle this for you. If you booked directly, call the cruise line’s customer service and politely ask about a price adjustment. Have your booking confirmation handy!
4️⃣ Know the Exceptions – Some promotions, onboard credits, or special fares may not be eligible for adjustments, so read the fine print.
💡 Tip: Some savvy cruisers set a reminder to check fares regularly after booking. A small drop can sometimes save you hundreds!
WHAT ABOUT CASINO OFFERS?
If you booked with a casino deal, things work a little differently:
✔️ Sometimes eligible (especially before final payment) – You may be able to switch to a better offer or lower rate
⚠️ Many are “new bookings only” – meaning you might not be able to apply a better deal after booking
🎁 Perks can change – free play, onboard credit, or drinks may be reduced or removed if you switch
🔄 You may have to cancel & rebook – which can come with risks like losing your cabin or deposit
⛔ After final payment = very limited changes
💡 Important: Casino deals are often already heavily discounted, so always compare the total value (price + perks)before making changes!
📱 APPS & TOOLS TO WATCH FOR LOWER FARES:
ChooseCruise (Cruise Deals & Price Alerts) – Set real-time alerts for specific cruises, cabin types, or dates
Cruise Deals App – Tracks prices across major lines and highlights discounts
CruisePing – Monitors itineraries and notifies you when prices drop
Track Cruises – Compares fares across markets and alerts you to price changes
Cruisewatch – Keeps tabs on price movement and sends notifications
💡 EXTRA TiP: Don’t just look at the price—compare the full value (fare + perks) before rebooking!
Cruise smarter and make sure you’re getting the best deal possible—every little savings counts toward your dream vacation! 🚢✨
