If you're heading to Port Canaveral for a cruise, airports like Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) and Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) are smaller and much less hectic than Orlando International Airport (MCO). 🛬 ORLANDO SANFORD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SFB):
48 miles / 50 minutes to Port Canaveral. Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) is smaller and calmer than MCO, making it easier to navigate and quicker to get through security.

→ Best Western Plus Sanford Airport/Lake Mary Hotel – 1 mile from SFB, free airport shuttle. Free hot breakfast included.

60 miles / 1 hour to Port Canaveral.Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) is smaller and less hectic than MCO, making check-in and security lines quicker.

🛬 ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MCO):
52 miles / 55 minutes to Port Canaveral. Orlando International Airport (MCO) remains the main hub for flights into Central Florida, offering the most flight options. However, it’s a much larger and busier airport compared to Sanford (SFB) or Melbourne (MLB), which can mean longer check-in and security lines.
📍 TIP: Most airport hotels offer free airport shuttles, but they typically only transport you to/from the airport. On cruise day, you can use shared shuttles, private transfers, or Uber/Lyft from SFB or MLB to Port Canaveral for flexible and convenient transportation.
