🚶 WALKiNG DiSTANCE: If you want to walk to the cruise terminal, Harbor House Hotel & Marina at Pier 21 is the closest and most practical choice within roughly 0.5 mi of the Port of Galveston — doable without a shuttle if you’re comfortable with luggage. The Tremont House is also close enough for a short ride/walk option.

🚌 SHUTTLES AND TRANSPORTATiON: Many Galveston hotels offer cruise shuttle or park-and-go packages that include transportation to the Port of Galveston, particularly for hotels farther from the port. For cruisers booking their own shuttle, popular local companies include Royal Galveston Shuttle, Galveston Limousine Service / Cruise Galveston Shuttle, $10 Galveston Shuttle, and Galveston Transportation Service Inc. These companies provide rides from Houston airports, local hotels, or other points in the Galveston area directly to the cruise terminals. If a hotel doesn’t provide a shuttle, Uber and Lyft are convenient, affordable alternatives.
